HISTORY

In 1947 Bill Anderson began a professional photographic career that would span four decades. He started his business on Main Street, above the family's grocery market. Bill's specialty was portrait photography and his reputation for outstanding quality spread quickly among the folks on the Milldam and the surrounding environs. As his business flourished, Bill was joined for several years by his good friend John Wood.

Uncle WigglyIn 1958, Bill moved his business to 14 Walden Street and expanded to a full service retail store. Over the years Bill's family helped out in the business: his wife, Mary doing the books; his children, Ken and Libby served as clerks, Billy, as a clerk and partner and Kristen, as a partner and proprietor. In September 1996, Ken and Lynda Anderson purchased the family business.

The business is now managed by Lynda who has made many changes but is very proud to have maintained the reputation for quality that was Bill Anderson’s signature.
